In Ms. Skye's novels there is always romance entwined with mystery. In this book, the mystery is important to solve because it can lead to the main character, Olivia, to an understanding of her father. She finds a series of videos after his death and then his long-time mistress--who she never knew about--gives her a key to something in her attic. We are never told what that key reveals.

The romance comes to a satisfying resolution, but the mystery element does not. This left me feeling very unsatisfied with a story that was not truly resolved.

This is unusual for Ms. Skye--I love her characters and the changes and understanding they come to of themselves is forged through finding the love of their life and resolving past sorrows and fears that held them back. This book felt like it needed one last go through by a developmental editor.

Couldn't stop reading, very good plot line.
This was so wonderful.For all of you who love to see a relationship go right and come out the way we hope,begin Butterfly Cove now.
While I found the book very entertaining, like some of the other reviewers, I am totally confused about the ending. I even went back to see if perhaps a chapter had been left out. There was no resolution to what happened to Olivia's money, what was in the safety deposit box, how she had the money to get a new car, etc. I felt like a different author wrote the last two chapters!
If you enjoy and of Christina's books, you'll love this one too. Suspense, love, great story line. I can hardly wait until the next part of this book series.

Not as good as the other ones in the Summer Island series but still fun. I really hope she finishes it with some closure on some of the subplots like Noah's sister--in-law/niece and Tyler - the mysterious friend of Gage's who keeps watch over his wife while he's away.
I have enjoyed the whole Summer Island series and the four childhood friends. However, I prefer endings to a story and I hate to be left dangling! A series can have books which stand on there own, (with endings), and Christina Skye is a master of a story being complete but part of a series.
Just Ok, I have to agree with other reviews that the ending was rushed. The book starts out ok and the second half has good chem. between Olivia and Rafe. However this story was about Olivia's relationship with her Father and how it affected her live and this part of the story was poorly developed and left the reader with many unanswered questions. This book was the poorest of the series.
