I have to admit that I wasn't as into this book as I was in the first installment, Blood and Guitars, but I did enjoy it. I think the reason why I didn't enjoy it as much was because the pace was a bit off for me. It started off a bit slow, then picked up, then slow, then back up again before keeping up at a steady pace to the end of the book. However it does pick up right where the first one left off and there isn't much backtracking that I see sometimes in a few sequels. The characters are still loveable and they're developing more, but it was the background characters that interested me the most. I wanted to know more about Stanislav's history, his relationship with Damir, and even more about Malena. Also there is the introduction of a new character, Beck, however I was left with a few questions regarding his past. It was brought up briefly in the book and appeared to be important, but maybe the author has plans to divulge more in the third book.
The romance between Trey and Aurora still feels real, as if it was based upon a real-life relationship (minus the vampire complication). And it grows with this book. The reader can really feel how much they love one another and the lengths they would do to be with one another. With that said, it was almost too perfect. I was waiting for an argument between them or some form of lover's quarrel. Granted they were put through a life-threatening situation together, but I still wanted angry words thrown at one another somewhere. Not that I want them to have a rocky relationship, but like I said it was a bit too perfect. (Plus I have been watching a lot of Gossip Girl while reading the book so my head has been stuck in backstabbing, lying, and malicious intent.)
Overall I did enjoy being whisked away into Aurora and Trey's world of rock stars and vampires. It's still refreshing to see something new and different from the average teenage angst I read in a lot of YA vamp novels. If you haven't read Blood and Guitars, what are you waiting for? And if you have, why haven't you picked up Immortals and Melodies? You're missing out if you don't pick up a copy of either book!

Immortals And Melodies Blood And Guitars Book 2 eBook Heather Jensen Reviews
I love what I have read so far. It is gripping and draws you in. I love that I could get it wireless delivered to my kindle and that makes everything easier.
The second installment of the Blood and Guitars goes to show what time and perseverance can do for an aspiring author! The story line flows and quite frankly, I had a hard time putting it down to go to sleep, work, etc! I am anxious to read what Heather Jensen has up her sleeve in the next installment.
this would make a good small film! the more i read the more i got hooked in. I really like the storyline here, as it has enough twists to differ it from other vampire novels. Can't wait for #3!
This book was interesting and overall good. I would recommend to read. Author seems to be good. I have read one other one and was satisfied it that one to.
interesting book......different take on things.
This is the 2nd book in the Blood and Guitars series and I really enjoyed it. I really thought it was going to end different but was glad the way it did. The characters were very interesting and the humor was great...the relationship between the band members was so real. Looking forward to the next book.
this cougar (me!) has fallen for trey. speaking as an elderly rocker, i enjoy the blood and guitar books. i love passing-for-human vampires. and i like it that all members of catalyst are really nice people. i am looking forward to reading about trey on tour (also looking forward to learning how to do kindle capital letters- blood and guitars books are only ones i have ever reviewed and this review has taken almost two hours to do cause i lost first attempt but i so wanted to thank the author. thank you).
