Simone Corelli is a film rerecording sound mixer with a degree in Computer Science. He teaches audio in Masters programmes at various universities, as well as in seminars at private institutions in Italy and Switzerland. In 2006, together with Fabio Felici and Gilberto Martinelli, he published the book Elementi di Cinematografia Sonora, with a foreword by Giuseppe Tornatore and an introduction by Professor Federico Savina.
He is member of the "Audio Engineering Society" and of the "Associazione Italiana Fonici di Mix" (AIFM), and he is a co-founder of the "Gruppo Tematico per la Cinematografia Sonora" (www.gtcs.it).

You will need to know protools to understand this book. And if you already know protools, this book is kinda pointless. It would have been nice if there is list of functions in alphabetical order with their respective commands listed. Rather it's a list of commands with descriptions. This makes its more confusing to search. This book is poorly written. And there's no such thing as learning protools in an hour.Product details

ProTools rocks. I'm even sticking with Ver.10 and my 8core MacPro... it's almost too powerful!!!

Too techie and way over my head. Maybe not yours so much. Better to stick with Pro Tools for Dummies, or even the Pro Tools Reference PDFs. But not bad for the price.
Not helpful to this beginner. I guess I need the Idiot's Guide to Pro Tools...
I continue to try and understand Pro Tools so that I can use it as my primary home recording software. This book does not directly from a start point to a recording and editing point in a linear fashion.
